All manufacturers offer different plans and advantages to their customers some of which may be :

Road hazard protection

Coverage in full or in part of the replacement cost of a tire damaged while using it on the road. Should the tire be covered by a manufacturer for such claim, we will forward the claim to them and process it up to time we reimburse you for amounts due. The claim process is defined on this page

Other warranties

Most manufacturers present a page with their warranty policies such as:

  • Mileage warranty, set number of kilometers by model of tire
  • Trial period, also called satisfaction or X days to replace
  • Usage issues, ride disturbance, appearance, vibration, pulling (often in the 1st year)
  • Manufacturing defect

The warranty period usually starts at original installation of tires, keeping a record of it is useful when presenting a claim.

Care and Maintenance

Not everything is the responsibility of the manufacturer, they expect car manufacturer guidelines to be adhered to on these:

  • Tire rotation as prescribed
  • Wheel geometry (alignment) to be within specifications
  • Air pressure as indicated on the sticker situated in driver side door panel.
  • Suspension and steering parts in order

Documenting of all of the above can prove useful if not essential for mileage claims

And then some unexpected situations

  • Proper tire storage (avoid extreme freeze, ozone generated by electric motors, UV rays)
  • Good driving habits ( No race track use, or driving like on a racetrack)
  • Avoid exposure to acid, solvents, oils of any kind, etc

And then some Customer service

When all else fails, most major manufacturers will take the time to listen to your situation, and in some cases, find ways to help you out.

Registration of your tires

Most manufacturers have an online registration site. The advantage for them to know you are certain. You would be the first to know if a possible issue with the tires you purchase was to surface, they would send you a letter!

And some other perks, like road side assistance….
