Tires fitted at BIG O TIRES GILLEY*

Good, quick service.

The Big O Tire offered excellent service and installed my new tires in a professional manner.

Have a place to sit while waiting. Appointed time is on schedule and flexible. The front desk check is easy. The installation and balancing cannot be seen from the office. Overall it is good.

The installer initially gave an estimate of 45 mins to get the tires installed. I checked with them after 1 hr and they tell me that it's going to be another 45 mins and that they will call me when its done. I dont hear from then for 1.5 hrs so I call them and they are trying to pressure me into getting my brakes and rotors done too. I tell them no and they say it's going to take another 35~45 mins. After another hr, I show up at the place and it still isn't done. Again they try to pressure me to do the brake pads and rotors. I again say no and tell them I only want to install the tires today. They tell me its $180 plus tax, I tell them that on the quotation it's only $125 plus tax. They go "Oh really? Fine its $125 plus tax then". I got to say, this installer lives up to the shady and sketchy mechanic stereotypes. What was supposed to be a 45 min thing ended up being a 3+ hr thing with way more frustration than necessary.

They did a pretty good job installing the new winter tires onto some steelie rims. Only thing they missed was to label the old tires/wheel assembly so that I would know which tire/wheel went to which corner of the car when I reinstall them after the winter season. The owner and the service technician was very nice and helpful.

4 tires install. Booked alignment but not done ( also not paid so it’s fine.)

I had my installation done at Big O Tires on Gilley Ave. in Burnaby. 2 days prior to my appointment they called me stating that the tires were already there. So, I rescheduled my appt to a few days earlier. When I went to my appointment Will, the manager was very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend these guys for any tire installations or mechanical work.

They charged $ 360 for installation, balancing and alignment which was fine. However they left several black marks, scrapes and a couple of nicks on my alloy wheels. I will have to get my wheels refinished and their only compensation was 5x free tire rotations. To add insult to injury, they left greasy black fingerprints on the interior of my beige drivers door.

Very accommodating, efficient, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Provided tire bags for the second set.

If it was a little cheaper, I would be more happy :)
