It’s not just cars that need winter tires. Trucks that sometimes drive very long distances, must also be able to rely on quality tires, approved for winter driving.

This is the case of the new Yokohama 712L tire, which has just received the accreditation needed to qualify as winter tires. In clear terms, he will now have the logo of the mountain and the snowflake, proof that he meets the winter performance criteria. The four sizes of the 712L, 295 / 75R22.5, 11R22.5, 285 / 75R24.5 and 11R24.5, have been approved.

For intensive use

The 712L tire is intended for intensive use in the winter zone. It has deep grooves, but its composition makes it flexible enough to limit fuel consumption. The tire has also been designed to offer other benefits:

– Advanced wear resistance: The 712L has a 30/32 inch groove, which extends its life. In addition, stress control grooves reduce the contact pressure at the edge of the tread, thereby providing increased resistance to shoulder wear for long and even wear.

– Exceptional energy efficiency and traction: the rubber chosen for the 712L makes it possible to limit the rolling resistance, reducing friction, eliminating some of the wear and especially, ensuring a lower fuel consumption. The straight and angular sipes, as well as the intermediate zigzag grooves, offer better radial and lateral traction.

– Better Evacuation : to face the most demanding weather conditions, they redesigned the design of certain grooves. The outer portions receive straight grooves favoring better drainage of the water.

– Durability: the shape of the grooves is designed to prevent certain elements from ending up at the bottom, thus limiting useless wear. The high-end 712L case is so robust that Yokohama offers it with an unlimited 7-year retread warranty.

The Yokohama 712L tire is just one of the tire models offered by the manufacturer which offers a wide range of winter tires for cars and vehicles of all sizes.
