Avid readers of this blog will know: choosing the right tire for your vehicle is of paramount importance. This is especially true when you have a large vehicle like a pickup truck or a heavy utility vehicle. Is this your case? You'll be pleased to know that BFGoodrich has just introduced its latest generation of high-strength tires, the HD-Terrain T/A KT. Designed for demanding situations, it condenses a host of proprietary technologies to deliver strength that we're told is unique in the class.
Unique among heavy-duty trucks
After all, the HD-Terrain is no ordinary tire. Its sidewalls and rubber have been reinforced to increase its longevity as well as its resistance to chipping and tearing. This is thanks in part to a new exclusive compound in the tread line. Another is the addition of CoreGard technology, specifically included to reduce the risk of sidewall chipping.
According to BFGoodrich, there are currently few, if any, such options for heavy-duty trucks. The company hopes to tap into an as of yet untapped market for both commercial and residential customers. It hopes to appeal to them with promises of excellent traction and unmatched strength. It seems that it has already succeeded with some, since the model will proudly display its "Baja Champion" title, acquired at the SCORE Baja 500 2021.
The latest addition to the brand
BFGoodrich has been a leader in the tire industry for a long time, but most of its current options are designed for a multitude of off-road vehicles and applications, rather than specifically for heavy-duty trucks. That includes the Mud Terrain T/A KM3 and All Terrain T/A KO2, which are already well known for their phenomenal capabilities on all kinds of pavement. Although they are not designed for the same niche of vehicles, they share many of the advantages of the HD-Terrain T/A KT, such as reinforced sidewalls and cleverly designed treads.
Of course, Blackcircles.ca also features all sorts of other tires in the BFGoodrich lineup, from Advantage Control to G-Force Sport Comp-2. While the former is perfect for passenger cars or small SUVs, the latter fulfills a very different set of needs, more at home on a Porsche or a Maserati. It's easy to see the American manufacturer's expertise at all levels, capable of offering a comfortable experience as well as incredible performance on the track. So why not trust it off-road as well?
