Every year, the tire world eagerly awaits the publication of what has become a real institution: the Pirelli calendar. Since 1964, the Italian manufacturer has recruited among the best photographers in the world to ensure the visual of these collection pieces. For its 2022 calendar, Pirelli has turned to none other than the Canadian Bryan Adams, made famous by his hit ”Summer Of ’69” launched in 1985.
Indeed, in addition to his musical career, it seems that Bryan Adams has other talents! For the past few years, it’s rather his passion for photography that he cultivates, and visibly it has paid off. Not surprisingly, the theme chosen by the artist is one that is dear to him: the world of music.
Iggy Pop, Cher and others!
Throughout his career as a photographer, Bryan Adams has had the chance to work with many of his former colleagues, musicians and singers. This year, they are the ones who will be honored, with a different artist being featured each month. Entitled On the Road, it is impossible not to understand the reference to the hectic lifestyle of touring musicians.
Among the stars, there will be something for all tastes and all generations, from pop greats like Cher and Jennifer Hudson to more recent revelations like Grimes and rapper Bohan Phoenix. Photographed in Los Angeles and Capri, Italy, the shots are truly impressive!
Tires ready for a tour
When you’re on the road for a little while, whether it’s to perform or tour, it’s your tires that are put to the test. Nothing better for these artists, then, than Pirelli models that offer incomparable comfort in addition to the longevity for which they are known. Who knows, maybe they’ve been given a few pairs as a thank you?
Closer to home, however, the best example of these excellent tires is the Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II, a well-balanced model that is capable of accompanying you on the track as well as on a Sunday drive. Its enhanced handling makes it one of our favorites, while its 105,000 km warranty proves that even the manufacturer is confident in its longevity! In winter, you might prefer the Winter Ice Zero FR, specialized for northern climates like ours.
Unfortunately, it is impossible for the average person to buy the calendar created by Pirelli in collaboration with Bryan Adams for 2022. The 60,000 copies of the calendar will only be distributed to the manufacturer’s most important clients, celebrities and influencers. Unless you’re one of those high-profile people, you’ll have to hope that someone else sells theirs on a site like eBay!
