A relative newcomer to the compact SUV market, the Hyundai Kona has carved out a niche for itself in the Canadian market since its arrival in 2017. Already, it's one of the best-selling vehicles on the market, and for good reason. We love it for its affordable price, its reasonable size and its host of Hyundai technologies, not unlike the IONIQ 6, which I recently had the opportunity to test drive. Even available in an electric version, the Kona is truly in tune with the times.

If you're a proud owner of one, one thing's for sure: equipping it with quality tires will make it last much longer. That's why I've decided today to give you my four tire suggestions for the 2023 Hyundai Kona. Whatever your budget or the version of your vehicle, I hope you'll find the perfect model for you.

The safe choice: Continental Purecontact LS

For those who don't want to read any further, you can stop here. The Continental Purecontact LS has everything you need at a satisfying price. The German company has long been synonymous with quality, and its Purecontact range has a proven track record for grip and shorter braking distance. Fairly eco-friendly and with good longevity, it will undoubtedly meet all your needs.

The strong choice: Pirelli P4 Persist AS Plus

Do you prefer longevity? Especially if you do a lot of driving, a robust model like the Pirelli P4 Persist AS Plus might be more appropriate. Thanks to its exclusive silica-reinforced rubber, the manufacturer offers a warranty of up to 135,000 kilometers. What's more, this model promises fuel savings thanks to its low rolling resistance!

The premium choice: Michelin Crossclimate 2

When you want to treat your Hyundai Kona right, you need to choose the best tires, whatever the price. Michelin Crossclimate 2 are the ultimate tires. Low risk of aquaplaning, reduced braking distance, increased grip, improved robustness - can you blame them for anything? There's only one way to find out: try them out.

The budget choice: Rovelo RHP-778

On the other hand, sometimes it's the budget that counts, and you can't blame yourself! Even at low prices, it's possible to get quality tires that will keep you safe this summer. You may not have the guarantee of a household name like Michelin or Pirelli, but a model like the Rovelo RHP-778 will offer surprising performance for the price!
