Four tires for your Hyundai Tucson

Recently, I told you about my rather exciting month spent behind the wheel of Korean manufacturer Hyundai's models. In particular, my week driving the Hyundai Tucson left me wanting to tell you more. In this tire-change season, what better way to do so than to review four of the tire models best suited to this SUV that are also available on Blackcircles.ca?

All-rounder: Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3

If I had to present just one tire, it would undoubtedly be Pirelli's Scorpion All Season Plus 3. The Italian manufacturer has yet to prove itself, but still offers a relatively affordable product that combines all the characteristics of a good SUV tire. Adherent, easy to handle, safe and comfortable enough, it's also durable enough to withstand the Tucson's high weight without wearing out prematurely.

Ultra-luxury: Michelin CrossClimate 2

When budget allows, why not buy the very best? The crème de la crème of SUV tires is probably the Michelin CrossClimate 2. Performance on all road surfaces, guaranteed up to 100,000km, efficient even on electric vehicles, what more could you ask for?  What's more, although it's not winter-certified, it remains safe on lightly snow-covered surfaces, making it perfect for spring cold snaps like the one we're experiencing at home in Montreal.

Off-road: Yokohama Geolandar CV 4S G061

In March, I had the chance to test drive the XRT version of the Hyundai Tucson, specially designed for off-road enthusiasts. So I had to honor this version of the SUV by offering you a tire that could stand up to any challenge. I decided to turn to the Yokohama Geolandar CV 4S G061. Its uninviting and not-so-descriptive name hides one of the toughest tires on the market. As well as being extremely durable, this Japanese tire is suitable for all types of riding, with its quiet ride and interesting handling.

Best value: Rovelo Instinct SUV

Now more than ever, Canadian consumers are looking for cheaper products. This can be attributed to a number of factors, from tariffs to inflation, but the situation remains the same: many people don't have the same tire budget as before. This is where discount brands like Rovelo and its Instinct SUV come into their own. While not equipped with all the technologies that make the experience of a tire like the CrossClimate truly premium, they remain a model of choice for Hyundai Tucson owners. With amazing performance on all types of road, good grip and a guarantee up to 100,000km, it's hard to find a better tire at such a low price.
