This week, it was announced that the 2022 Honda Civic was once again the best-selling passenger car in Canada, selling nearly 44,000 units. This is the 24th consecutive year that the Civic has held that position, which is probably why we see them so frequently on the road. To celebrate this impressive victory and to help Civic owners with their purchases, here are my four tire recommendations for the 2022 Honda Civic!

The Econo Choice: Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max

As the name suggests, Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max is here to help you save money on gas. If you chose the Honda Civic for its attractive selling price, minimizing maintenance costs can help you get the most out of your purchase!

How can a tire save you money? Well, it’s simply by reducing rolling resistance. Basically, this is the resistance the tread experiences on a flat surface while driving. The greater the resistance, the greater the bill at the gas station! With 27% less resistance, the Assurance Fuel Max could even get you 4,000 km further than a standard tire.

The Winter Choice: Kumho I’Zen KW31

With the weather across the country right now, it’s hard to overlook winter tires! For extraordinary snow and ice grip and fairly satisfying wet traction, I suggest you look to the Kumho I’Zen KW31. Their high dispersion compound provides all the shock absorption of a standard tire without compromising on handling.

The secret to their impressive efficiency is their high-density sawtooth sipes, which grip ice and snow even in turns. With its solid tread, it will undoubtedly serve you well for many winters!

The safety choice: Yokohama Avid Ascend GT

For the rest of the year, why not turn to the Yokohama Avid Ascent GT? It will enhance the sporty side of your Civic without offering less handling. Its TriBLEND tread compound maximizes both handling and grip, as well as extending its life. In fact, it is guaranteed to last up to 110,000 kilometers, which speaks volumes about its robustness!

The comfort choice: Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack

Maybe I just prefer comfort over performance, but the Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack offer the most balanced experience in my opinion. While they offer premium grip and handling, they were primarily designed to make the driving experience even more comfortable. The ridges built into the grooves are just one of the ways the Japanese company tries to nullify tire noise and, we must say, it works. Coming from Bridgestone, we would expect nothing less!
