No matter how much one says, tires are a true technological marvel. When you look at all of the components, they are nothing short of spectacular. And complex, it should not be denied. This also explains why manufacturers regularly offer product updates, devoting time, money and energy to improving gums.

This is exactly what Pirelli has done by proposing some improvements to its Cinturato P7 All-Season tire for 2020. A touring tire designed for North America, the P7 has earned its reputation for its exceptional grip.

The new version picks up where the old one left off. It presents a new tread compound and an optimized footprint for improved behaviour on wet surfaces. It’s mainly the stopping distance that has been the focus of major research and increasing its silica content to improve heat distribution and limit premature wear. This compound improves traction and creates a quieter and more gripping tread.

To increase traction, the size of the contact surface was also increased by 5%. A new sole design completes this change. Needless to say, the new P7 Plus improves its grip in all conditions.

Even better, despite the difference in the contact area, the new offers a lower noise level and better dynamic performance than its predecessor.

The Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II is covered by a 110,000 km limited warranty against tread wear. This new Pirelli tire is now available in 30 sizes and the full range of 50 sizes will be available in the coming months.
