Late last year, Yokohama made waves by introducing two notable additions to its product range for early 2024: the Geolandar CV 4S and the ADVAN Sport EV A/S. As you'd expect, the new Geolandar has been designed to maximize robustness with features such as an asymmetrical tread for better traction and longer life. Aimed at the electric vehicle market, the ADVAN Sport offers a high-performance all-season design, promising long tread life and optimized handling. According to the company, these new offerings reflect their commitment to meeting the increasingly diverse needs of motorists, especially in the growing landscape of electric vehicles. What's the real story?

ADVAN Sport EV A/S: electric excellence

Having officially entered the canadian market on January 1st, the ADVAN Sport EV A/S. stands out for its compatibility and its new E+ badge, which means that its performance is adapted to electric vehicles. Available in 9 sizes for rims from 18 to 20 inches, it features a refined contact surface, optimized sidewall construction and an all-season rubber compound.

Yokohama claims that it is thanks to this technology that the product can offer long life, optimized ride quality, exceptional all-season grip and superior handling characteristics. These factors are particularly important for EVs whose high torque demands extra wheel load. Backed by a 100,000 km limited treadwear warranty, the ADVAN Sport EV A/S is ready to make its mark on this growing market.

Geolandar CV 4S: all-season cruising

Specially designed for crossovers and small SUVs, the Geolandar CV 4S promises to be a top-of-the-range tire capable of withstanding all temperatures and providing drivers with an optimal blend of winter traction and performance on wet or dry roads. Indeed, its asymmetrical tread features zigzag grooves to enhance wet performance by efficiently evacuating water, thus minimizing the risk of aquaplaning.

The new Yokohama composite rubber, featuring an advanced polymer blend and improved micro-silica dispersion, not only reduces rolling resistance, but also guarantees a longer service life. You can also expect a quiet, comfortable ride, thanks to the distinctive tread pattern and advanced construction designed to reduce road noise. Available initially in 32 sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches, additional sizes are due to make their debut early this year.

From all-weather reliability to the unique needs of electric vehicles, it really does seem that Yokohama is trying to meet the ever-changing needs of Canadian drivers.
