BRIDGESTONE TIRES WARRANTY
Bridgestone tires are among the most popular selling tires in Canada and the United States. If you are thinking of purchasing Bridgestone tires for your passenger car or light truck, then it makes sense to understand the various warranties that are in place just in case you need to place a warranty claim. Bridgestone is one of the best-selling tire brands in Canada, and some of the most popular tire lines in this brand include the Dueler, Blizzak, Bridgestone Ecopia, Bridgestone Potenza and the Driveguard. Each of these tire lines can be subject to slightly different warranties, so it is important to carefully read the Bridgestone tire warranty booklet for each one. Bridgestone offers the following:
The Bridgestone tire warranty in Canada is called the Platinum Pact Limited Warranty and it applies to all Bridgestone tires except for winter and temporary tires. This Limited Warranty states that tires covered by this warranty will be replaced with an equivalent new tire free of charge, or for a pro-rated amount if they become unfit for use due to issues with workmanship and materials. It’s important to note that there is no Bridgestone road hazard warranty included in the limited warranty.
The free tire replacement is in place in your Bridgestone tire warranty for three (3) years from date of purchase (keep your original sales receipt) or for four (4) years from the date of tire manufacture if you don’t have your receipt. Your mounting and balancing costs for these replacements will also be included, however you may be required to pay for applicable taxes, valve stems and disposal fees. After the free replacement period ends, then the coverage extends to five (5) years from the purchase date, or six (6) years without a sales receipt—however during this time, your tire(s) would be replaced for a pro-rated charge, which is calculated by the dealer, and only if your treads are not worn to 2/32 inch or less of the remaining original tread depth.
Bridgestone also offers a buy and try 90-day guarantee in the US and Canada, which allows you to return your set of four (or more) tires to the original dealer within 90 days of purchase, if you are not satisfied. To take advantage of this part of the Bridgestone tire warranty, you must have your original purchase receipt.
